Description: This is a fine group of late 18th c. early 19th C. Fitzhugh Chinese export porcelain. The pieces are two mugs, and two different sized upturned edge plates. Each hand painted throughout with a scenic panel in each. These antique hard paste porcelain pieces are in remarkable condition. They have a hand painted cartouche of a farm house with small bridge, made for the American market with scenes most Americans can relate to...This being a southern estate farm house with bridge over pond. Size: Each mug measures 2 5/8" diameter x 2 3/4" tall, the smaller bowl is 5 5/8' diameter x 1 3/8" tall, the other large bowl is 6 1/4" diameter x 1 1/4" tall. Condition: Very good condition no chips cracks or repairs to three pieces the smaller bowl has the tiniest fleck on the rim, a few small micro areas of a little firing fretting on the rims, there are no chips, just the factory little micro bumps here and there, the decorative painted surfaces have stood the test of time beautifully, there is some wear to the gilt decoration on the rims.
